Probably half the students in the St Louis area have visited Cahokia Mounds at least once on a school field trip, but being a math and physics teacher I have never been. So I thought it ironic that on my first day of retirement from education that I take a trip to Cahokia Mounds. One of the greatest things about St Louis is the number of things you can do for free. I plan to take advantage of this over the next few years.
