Milestone Birthdays

This is the year for milestone birthdays. My nephew is turning 30, my sister turned 50, and Bruce turned 60. One of my "movie" friends also turned 60, so we celebrated by taking her out to Jack-in-the-Box for lunch. So you don't think we were being cheap, the first Jack-in-the-Box opened in 1951 - the year she was born. We also gave her a goodie bag filled with other items introduced in 1951 - a copy of "Catcher in the Rye" by JD Salinger, SuperGlue, Swanson's Chicken Pot Pie (it was melting in the bottom of the bag), the first Tupperware party. There were also inventions that wouldn't fit in the bag like the first color TV, power steering on cars, video tape recorders, cameras with built-in flash units, the UNIVAC computer, and the first heart-lung machine. In case you're wondering, my sister's friends did the same thing for her. She got a lava lamp, reminiscent of 1961.
