Bruce and I spent the weekend at the Skamania Lodge in the Columbia River Gorge. It's on the Washington state side across the Bridge of the Gods. We did a little hiking at Multnomah Falls and Eagle Creek, but mostly veg'd out at the lodge (or should I say pig'd out on the seafood buffet Friday night). The weather has been fabulous - a 30 degree difference from the heat and humidity we've been dealing with the past month. It was very nice for all the people getting married this weekend (3 outdoor weddings on Saturday at the lodge!). We came back to Portland Sunday afternoon and stopped in at the Deschuttes Microbrewery - maker of my favorite Black Butte Porter. I knew they had a brewery in Bend, but didn't realize they had one here, too. Always something new.Sunday, July 31, 2011
