Paris Day 5

Courtney and I decided to slow down a little from the hectic pace we've been setting. We did a little window shopping on the Rue de Rivoli and came upon this somewhat odd outdoor designer fashion show. Each designer had his or her clothes displayed in a giant plastic bubble.
It was relatively warm in the morning, so Courtney and I split up. She went shopping and I walked over to the Jardin des Tuileries ("jardin" means garden) to do some sketching of the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel - not the more famous Arc de Triomphe at the western end of the Champs-Elysees, but a smaller one built during Napolean's time on the site of the Tuileries Palace. The Palace is no longer standing, but I could see the Louvre from the park bench I was sitting on.
