Atlanta Urban Sketching
I've been so busy, I haven't gotten a chance to pick up a paint brush since I came home from Paris, but I finally got an opportunity in Atlanta. The convention hall didn't open until 10:00 am on Monday, so I had an early breakfast and took my sketchbook to Woodruff Park. This pavilion is actually called Speaker's Corner where members of the public can speak, act, dance, or sing about anything as long as it complies with public law and decency ordinances. There were a whole bunch of people in this pavilion on Sunday, but it was pretty quiet early Monday morning. Most of the people in the park were reading the paper or feeding the pigeons. The Coca-Cola headquarters is in Atlanta, so there are giant coke signs everywhere.
