Well for better or worse, we are the proud owners of our home. No bank, no title company. It's ours free and clear. As preparation for Bruce's retirement, we decided to pay off the mortgage (good thing Bruce fixed the leaky toilet this weekend). I bought some mums for the front porch with a gift card I had from Home Depot. Just because we no longer have a house payment to make, doesn't mean we're rolling in dough. Bruce said the money will now be going to the health insurance company. Someone's always got their hand out.
