Thirty years ago, I spent Labor Day in the very, very last stages of pregnancy. Today I'm cleaning closets. When I was packing for the cruise, I kept pulling clothes from the 80's and 90's out of my closet - most of them still in good shape, but horribly out of style. So when I got back home, I decided to pull a "Janet" and get rid of a bunch of stuff. I sorted everything into 3 piles: Keep, Good Will, and Undecided. Luckily the Good Will pile is taller than the Undecided pile (the Keep pile went back into the drawers). I left everything out on the floor so I can think about it some more. Maybe if I trip over the Undecided pile a few times, it will be easier to transfer it over to the Good Will pile.
When we came back from Russia, Bruce found out that the upstairs toilet was leaking into the basement closet. Luckily there were only paint cans in the closet, but by the looks of this picture, I think the wax ring was the original that was installed when the house was built 80 years ago. Poor Bruce spent his Labor Day weekend taking the toilet apart, patching the hole, cleaning the fixtures, and putting the whole thing back together again.
