I went to the Girl Scout Scramble last night - the final practice before the actual robotics competition starts. It was really interesting to see all the different designs the girls have come up with. I was pretty excited, because none of the teams had been able to get over the obstacles like the Robians team I've been helping can do (Marian Middle School). That doesn't mean the Robians are going to win, but maybe they'll get a decent number of points this year and impress the judges. During the competition, each team has to do an activity to show off their teamwork skills. It's a secret what they are really going to be asked to do, but to practice, we had them stand on a tarp and try to turn it over without stepping off of it. Unbelievably, they figured out how to do it in about 5 minutes. Way to go girls!
