My Journal Club had a Christmas gift exchange with a slightly different twist - everyone had to bring their favorite art supply (one for each member of the group) which we collected into individual gift bags. What a haul it turned out to be - pencils, pens, paints, papers. I brought little alphabet stamp sets for everyone. It was a really fun and practical gift exchange. We spent the rest of the party doing what women usually do at these type of events - eat and gossip. Not much art gets done at our meetings.
