Every year, welding is one of our most popular activities - even with the women. They always look so professional all suited up. You need a lot of physical strength to be a welder, because those pieces of metal are really heavy.
They always end their welding lesson by building a miniature bridge. Most of the teams get very creative, but all but one bridge bent in half when we tested them. Creativity doesn't equate to a strong design. Luckily, we're not training them to work for the highway department.
