See-Doo'ing

About once a year, I go to the lake with my friend, Mil, to ride her See-doo's. She used to have house at Tablerock Lake, but she sold that a few years back. So yesterday we decided to take a day trip to Rend Lake in Illinois. I've driven past Rend Lake a million times, but never stopped to explore it. The lake is much bigger than it looks from the freeway with several marinas, fishing docks, and campgrounds. They even have a small sand beach, which was packed with people of all ages. Riding the See-doo's reminds me of the weekends we spent at the Ozarks when I was growing up. If See'doo's would have been popular in the 60's, I'm sure my Uncle Ed would have owned one to go along with his dune buggy. If I had a place to ride it, I'd probably buy a See-doo of my own, but I can hardly stand to drive my car down the highway in heavy traffic. I can't imagine weaving in and out of the semi's while pulling a trailer hitch with a See-doo behind me.
