The temperatures warmed up into the 40's on Saturday. It's amazing how "balmy" 40 degrees can feel after sitting in single digits for a couple weeks. So we decided to walk down to the Loop for lunch. Normally we head for Jimmy John's or Mia Ranchito's, but I wanted to try something new. We ended up at the Corner 12 Noodle Shop. I've been past this place a million times, but didn't realize how popular it was. The place was packed (I think everyone was enjoying the warmer weather), but that was OK because we got to watch the chef make noodles while we waited for our order. He took a big lump of dough and then kept stretching it and twisting it until he had a mass of long, thin strings. Then he dumped the whole thing into a vat of boiling water. Very interesting as well as tasty.
