Janet zoomed ahead of me this week, hiking 42 miles up to the Wayah Shelter. Since I spent a large part of my week sitting in meetings, I only made it halfway between the Rock Gap and Siler Bald Shelters. I think it's interesting that we are in an area called the "Chunky Gal Mountain." Maybe by the time we finish this virtual walk, we'll find a "Slender Gal Mountain" up in Maine.
