We've been having some warm weather for a change (funny how 40 degrees feels "warmer" in winter), so Bruce and I decided to go on a hike to Castlewood State Park. It's been ages since we've gotten out. Unfortunately, there's still a lot of snow and ice on the ground from last Monday's mega-storm. We valiantly tried hiking on different paths, but we were slipping and sliding so bad, we gave up (or rather, I gave up).
So instead, we went home and I made Christmas cookies. I don't usually make cookies, but my boss sent me a jar of Huckleberry jelly which went perfectly in these thumbprint cookies.
