Actually you might say I decided to "finish" a job I'd already started. About 5 years ago, I thought I'd paint the garage door brown, thinking that would hide all the dirt. But instead, it made the garage incredibly hot whenever the sun was shining on that side (plus it didn't look all that great).
So instead, I painted it the same tan color to match the rest of the house trim. It looks so much cleaner now, but of course, that just makes the walls next to it look bad.
