My friend, Joyce, and I have met a few times over the summer in Frances Park to chat and get a little exercise. Mostly, we walk over to Ted Drewes and pick up frozen custard. Several times we've noticed that people have been putting out miniature fairy gardens in the park in an effort to boost morale during COVID.
Today we decided to put out our own fairy paraphernalia. I rummaged through my craft supplies and made several fairy doors that we stuck to the side of the tree with Gorilla tape. Then we embellished our fairy gardens with painted rocks and shells and miniatures from my old doll house.
The stuff will probably get washed away after the next rain storm, but at least we did our part in bringing a smile to someone's face while they're eating their own ice cream.
