My sister bought a new house in Lee's Summit and since I am such an "expert" in interiors (having already picked all the finishes for my own new house), I went with her to her design meeting.
I'll have to say, her design center was a bit different from mine, because she's moving into a luxury development where the "standard" finishes are already upgrades. Earlier in the year when we went through the model, I could have moved right in. Everything was very neutral and organic (wood, metal, stone) - just my style. Working with neutral colors (aka gray) is a bit tricky, because finishes can look very different depending on the light. But my OCD sister came prepared with a 2" stack of notes and over 100 pictures on her iPad. I think what she ended up with will look very good, but there were so many choices, I can't for the life of me remember most of them. Guess I'll just be surprised next May when she moves in.
