Fitness Challenge Update

Well Janet and I both finished the 52-Hike Challenge. Since we didn't even start until March, that's pretty good. But while it was interesting having different themes for each hike, it was also a little frustrating at times trying to meet the theme (like finding a waterfall in the city). I ended up the year with 2,221,731 steps - that's about 1,111 miles. Janet's still going since there are technically 10 days left in the year.

But I'm ready to start a new fitness challenge, so we're going to go back to hiking the same trail virtually. Our next trail will be the Colorado Trail - 567 miles from Denver to Durango. Some people might wonder why I don't just hike it in real life since I'm already in Denver, but this trail goes through the mountains with the highest point at 13,271 ft. I have enough trouble trying to breath at 6,000 ft. So we'll stick with virtual hiking with a goal of trying to get it finished by summer.
