Janet and I are putting our walking shoes back on and starting another virtual step challenge. This time, we're traveling down Route 66, a distance of 2,339 miles. In order to try to finish the challenge before the end of 2024, I'm going to start on the west in Santa Monica, while Janet starts on the east in Chicago, and we'll meet somewhere in the middle. Full disclosure, I'll actually be counting biking as well as walking steps - whatever my fitness tracker reads at the end of the day. I'm not sure what it says about me that after only 2 days, Janet is already 4 miles ahead.
