After two months of trying to find a minute when we were both in town, we finally finished installing the slate tile in the basement media room. It looks absolutely gorgeous and is the perfect backdrop for the dark entertainment center and TV. Of course, I'm sure the previous owners thought their swinging louvered saloon doors and glass-topped tiki bar that were torn out in the renovation were wonderful, too. Wonder how many years it will be before someone on Designed to Sell starts land-filling all the granite and slate that is being installed around the country???
