I made a quick business trip to Portland, OR and snapped this picture while waiting for the train. This Christmas tree sitting in the middle of Pioneer Square is truly as big as it looks. Everyone was getting into the spirit of the season. There was a brass band playing in front of Macy's and a Santa Bear hanging out in front of Starbucks and shoppers everywhere! I bought books at Powell's and had a fabulous dinner (Rita's Mezza Platter) at the Habibi Restaurant. I stayed at a newly renovated boutique hotel downtown called Hotel 50 - right next to the river. Really a great 2-day trip.
