Finally. A beautiful spring day and both of us in town on the same weekend. We drove down to Hawn State Park and hiked around the White Oaks Trail. It's not as picturesque as the Whispering Pines Trail, but it's significantly shorter (3.75 miles as opposed to 10 miles if you do the entire loop). We also checked out their camping facilities. It would have been a great weekend to try out our new tent, but I need to spend tomorrow packing for Artfest. Only 3 more days!
