I went to the Clayton Art Fair on Sunday. Fabulous late summer weather, though that made the crowds come out. This was one of my favorite booths. The artist made "typewriters" by attaching old hardware to a wooden base. The typewriter in the center of the picture has bolts for keys and shower drains for the handles on either side of the platen (roller). The typewriter on the right looked like it could be used as a spice rack - the keys were tiny, clear glass bottles. We've got enough junk in the basement to make a dozen of these.
