New Class

I'm taking a new online class by Laure Ferlita called An Imaginary Trip to Paris. Our first assignment was to "visit" the Pere Lachaise Cemetary and capture an image of one of the monuments using watercolor. We were supposed to do this in 45 minutes. I'm learning to use a waterbrush - a paint brush with a hollow handle that is filled with water. Theoretically, when you tip the brush, water will wet the bristles allowing you to dip it into the paint, just as if you were using a cup of water. Good idea for painting away from home. In reality, my brush tended to stay bone dry or flood the paper with water; I'm still trying to get the hang of it. This picture is my 6th attempt.
