Junk Mail Days 2 and 3

I have to laugh at these pictures. If my dad saw them, he would just shake his head in befuddlement. On Day 2 of the Junk Mail Artist's Book class, we painted the gesso'd pages with 2 layers of watercolor. It formed kind of an interesting texture since the color ran into the grooves and ridges in the gesso. On Day 3, we cut and assembled the pages into a book. There is supposed to be lots of uneven-ness so that when we draw, it will run onto multiple pages. I think this project is like the old "Trading Spaces" TV show - you just have to have faith that it is going to look good when it is finished.
