I'm taking another online class from Carla Sonheim called, "Junk Mail Artist's Book." I know, I know; I never finished my journal from Mary Ann Moss's "Remains of the Day" class. I need to get a piece of poster board to finish the cover. Sometimes my real (paying) job gets in the way of my hobbies. But I've been wanting to take Carla's class for a while, and I was out of town the last itime she offered it (it's only a week long). Our first assignment was to collect some junk mail - it only took me about a week to get a stack over a foot high. The next assignment was to gesso the front and back of several pages. The gesso gives the mail additional weight and texture. Tomorrow we add paint.Monday, November 28, 2011
