We went to Christmas Eve mass at the Cathedral this year. We used to go every year, but we've spent the last couple Christmas's in Chicago. I saw a unique thing this time - the man in front of me was following along with the gospel readings on his e-reader. At first I thought he was checking his email (you know how those "multi-taskers" are), but it turned out that you can download each month's readings from the mass booklets off the internet. His high-tech gospel readings kind of coincided with the 2 big-screen TVs that were installed in the side alcoves of the church. I kept waiting for whomever was running the cameras to start panning the crowd like they do at the ball park.
