Finally Bruce took down the posts in the side yard that used to hold an old porch swing. The structure always looked creepy to me - kind of like a hanging gallows. But it's gone and along with it the spindly bush behind him. I'm not sure what kind of bush it was. It wasn't very attractive - no flowers, just long spindly branches that killed the grass underneath it. Both of these being gone will make mowing the lawn just a little bit simpler this summer.
