I went to Chicago this weekend for Easter. There were tulips blooming everywhere in street planters. Michigan Ave was beautiful, but I don't know what possessed me to think it would be fun to shop there on the Friday before Easter. I think there were more people out than there were the day after Thanksgiving. After fighting my way down and then back up again, I decided to stick with State Street. Still fairly crowded, but not crazy. I saw this unique piece of artwork in one of the planters outside Macy's. The lights on top of the rods change colors as the notes change with the blues music that is playing. Kind of like a colorful electric pipe organ.
