I volunteered at LEGO Friendship Day at the Science Center yesterday. Friendship Day is a welcome reception for all the international LEGO robotics teams. The world competition is this week in St Louis. Middle school teams from all over the world came. I got to hand out the food from Hard Rock Cafe. Not all the kids knew English very well, but everyone seemed to recognize nacho chips (one of the international food groups).
One of the volunteers acted as a DJ for the kids, but I think he brought his own song collection - everything was from the 80's. The kids seemed to love it, though, especially when he taught them how to dance to Michael Jackson's
Thriller.
