We've been plugging away on the new laundry room - actually Bruce has been doing most of the work. He patched and painted the wall behind the new cabinets that we bought at Ikea. I like the fact that they are raised up off the floor just a bit in case there's ever any flooding (knock on wood that never happens, but you never know in a basement). Bruce likes the raised legs, because he could use them to level the cabinets - the concrete floor is very uneven. Speaking of floors, we put a gray epoxy coating on half of it. What a tremendous difference from the old peeling, chipping paint that was on there before. The other half will have to wait until we can move all the junk to the finished side.
