The theme for this year's robotics competition is
Senior Solutions - "senior" meaning older person, not 12th grader in high school. The girls interviewed our assistant coach's mother this week to gain a better perspective on the challenges of getting older (Annette just celebrated her 91st birthday). Annette said that when she goes to the grocery store, she doesn't have any place to put her walker. She usually just leans it up against the wall behind the other shopping carts, but sometimes she forgets about it until she is back at her car. The girls' solution to this problem was to invent a hook that could be attached to the shopping cart to hold the walker while Annette did her shopping. Pretty creative, I'd say.
