My mother-in-law's 90th birthday was this week, so we took her out to her favorite place - the Chinese buffet. Not quite as exciting as those Mexican restaurants that plunk a sombrero on your head and sing Happy Birthday to you, but the wait staff wished her well and gave her a plate of fortune cookies. She still lives on her farm, but doesn't drive any more, so when someone comes along with a car, she uses the opportunity to run errands. We had a to make a stop at the store on the way home for cookies and cat food. I hope I have that much energy when I turn 90.
