I'm working on a mixed media collage using pictures from my old Vernier catalog and miscellaneous hardware from Bruce's workbench. It's got a sort of inventor/electronics theme. I thought I'd take some pictures of the different stages of the project, since it's somewhat involved. After I glued all the hardware on, I painted the whole thing with a coat of white gesso (it evens everything out so you notice the shapes more than the individual pieces). Next I'm going to paint everything with some new metallic sprays I bought. The trick is to spray it on enough to add color, but not so much as to hide everything underneath. We'll see.
