Cleaning out the Attic

Courtney came home over the weekend, so I put her to work helping me sort through old photos and memorabilia... EIGHT BOXES WORTH. We managed to get through almost every single box and found some interesting items, including a newspaper from 1969 of the Apollo 11 moon landing. I'm sure my mom is the one who saved this newspaper, since I was a high school sophomore in 1969 and much more interested in going to the mall than reading up on current events. How it got from her basement to my attic is a puzzle to me, but some where along the line, she must have slipped me a couple boxes of stuff.
After we sorted through all the photos, Courtney (Ms Organization) sat down and started putting hers into an album (my pictures are still spread out in the middle of the sunroom floor).
We took a break in the middle of the afternoon and spent some time painting. I let Courtney watch the tutorials from my latest online art class, so she was inspired to try it herself. We made quite a bit of progress in one afternoon, because Courtney doesn't stress out about every single brush stroke. She has much more confidence than her mother.
