Bigger Robots

This week I'm teaching the high school robotics camp - bigger kids, bigger robots. Bigger attitudes also. What can I say... they are teenagers. The good news is I've finally got one girl in the class and she seems to be holding her own with all the boys. Some of the other camps have not been so lucky. When the girls find out they are the only one, they tend not to come back the second day. These robots are built out of aluminum channels and plates - kind of like the old erector sets. I think most of my students have more experience with video games, though, because they caught onto programming the robots right away, but have been struggling with screwing together the nuts and bolts.
