I wrote my first Android app using MIT's
App Inventor software. I'm still not totally sure how all this works, because I designed the whole thing in the "cloud." But when you touch the picture of the kitty, it "meows"... Or rather, in the case of my app, the kitty seems to shriek. I think I need to tone down the sound.
