Another Fitbit Challenge
I noticed that my Fitbit app has some built-in challenges, so I decided to try the New York City 5K Abbott Dash (8,000 steps). When the challenge started, it showed me a map of the route I would be walking if I were actually in NYC. Along the route there are landmarks you can view and treasures you can collect. The "landmarks" were just huge, uncompressed photos that took forever to load (ridiculous, since I was viewing them on my 2 inch x 4 inch phone screen). The "treasures" were fitness tips (how exciting...NOT). To compound my irritation with this app, I was trying to walk outside, so I had to keep pulling out my phone to see if any landmarks or treasures had popped up, because if I didn't get them before I hit 8,000 steps, I couldn't count them in my total. I really like my Fitbit, but I'll have to say that these fake challenges are pretty lame.
