Once again, we had a powerful summer storm that knocked down trees (luckily not in our yard this time, though we have plenty of smaller leaves and branches that need to be cleaned up). The high temperature yesterday set a new record - 108 degrees. Yikes! It felt like walking into a blast furnace when we went outside. I'm not sure if the heat is what's causing my tomato plant to go crazy this year, but it is over 6 feet tall. If it gets any taller, we're going to have to get a ladder to harvest the tomatoes.
