I worked another engineering conference this week in Blue Springs, MO (technically Kansas City). I'll have to say, I tend to think of myself as fairly "savvy" in educational technology, but I had a really difficult time keeping up with the young teachers at this conference. Everyone was tweeting or texting or instagramming or Facebooking. I felt like a real dinosaur being the only person there using an actual pencil and paper to take notes.
There was a display of student projects in one of the halls. It was exciting to see exhibits from my old alma mater, Van Horn. Too bad we didn't get to make cool things like this when I went there.
