Chicago Visit

I made a quickie trip to Chicago, because Courtney's been looking for a new condo and a really great listing just came on the market. The only transportation I could get (short of driving myself) was the Megabus (Amtrak was totally sold out). But I enjoy taking Megabus. The seats are much bigger than the airplane and we always stop at McDonalds on the way. The only "trouble" were the hoards of Kentucky fans that were crowding the streets for the SEC basketball tournament across from the station. The weather was really nice so all the people who couldn't get tickets were outside eating hot dogs, drinking beer, and watching the game from big screen TVs.
Unfortunately, when I got back to town on Sunday, the weather had switched to snow, but the fans were still out there blocking the streets so the bus couldn't get through to the station. Kentucky ended up beating Tennessee 77-72, and the bus finally made it into the parking lot.
On the bright side, Courtney made an offer on the condo and it was accepted. She takes possession the end of April. She got the top floor unit with windows spanning the entire front of the building. It's in her same neighborhood only a couple blocks from the lake, the EL, and Target. And it's got 2 bedrooms, so next time I visit, I'll get my own room. Way to go, Courtney!
