When we went to the American Girl store back in March I saw their new astronaut-themed doll, Luciana. Being an engineer who's spent years doing projects with NASA, I couldn't get that out of my head. I checked online and found the outfit for $28, but it was so popular that it was back-ordered until June. So I decided to make my own ($7) and I think it looks pretty close to the original. I even found a pair of doll headphones at Walmart. Now on to making her Mars habitat.
