Ozark Hiking

I took Bruce on a belated birthday hike to Ha Ha Tonka State Park in the Ozarks. This park has an interesting feature that you wouldn't expect to find in the middle of Missouri...
a castle (or rather, the ruins of a castle). This castle isn't really that old, since it was built in 1920 for a Kansas City family as their lake house. It burned down in 1942, so all that's left are these walls.
The castle sits high on a bluff with a great view of the lake. There were a ton of eagles flying around just below the observation platform.
We hiked down to the water and found a natural stone bridge. All these trails were supposed to be known for wildflowers, but there wasn't much blooming when we were there. I was just glad we finally had a nice enough day to get out and do something.
