For the past 2 years, Violet has been going to a very progressive preschool program a few days a week. She's learned to count and say a few phrases in several different languages. She's learned to identify geometric shapes by the number of sides - not just square and triangle, but rhombus and parallelogram (who remembers what a rhombus is???). But this week, both Violet and her doll, Mia, graduated from preschool. Violet will start kindergarten this fall and who knows what topics she'll learn there, since the number one item on most back-to-school lists is an iPad. I feel things are shifting and I'm going to have to start going to Violet for technical how-to advice rather than the other way around.
