It's almost time for the new robotics season to start. The number of teams keeps growing, but the number of volunteers keeps shrinking. This year, we have to put together 26 playing fields with 15 mission models each. Each model is built out of hundreds of tiny LEGO pieces (of course, nothing comes pre-built). A bunch of us met at a local high school to try to get a jump on putting the models together. Things were going really well until one of the volunteers brought her 2 giant dogs into the cafeteria. Call me crazy, but it's stressful enough trying to squeeze tiny pegs into tiny holes without having dogs running around. I think they should have cleaned the cafeteria better after lunch, because the dogs kept licking the tables and floor. Gross!
