Virtual AT - Heading Home

The other day I was watching the movie A Walk in the Woods in which Robert Redford and Nick Nolte recreate travel-writer Bill Bryson's walk on the Appalachian Trail. Near the end of the movie, after numerous mishaps, Redford and Nolte decide to head home having completed only 780 miles of the trail (it's 2,181 miles in total). Well after 17 weeks, Janet and I are at nearly the same point in Virginia as Redford and Nolte having completed almost 700 miles of the trail (albeit, virtually). So I think it's time for us to table this project for a while and start a new challenge - one a little closer to home.
For our next activity, we're going to walk to each others homes which are conveniently connected by Interstate 70. Granted, they are 232 miles apart, but after walking 700 miles, that's a walk in the park. Our goal is to meet somewhere in the middle by the end of the month. Guess I'd better get started.
