Amtrak Station Sketchout

The St Louis urban sketching group had our monthly outing at the Amtrak train station. Just 5 days before, I had been sweating in 82 degree weather at the Boat House sketchout; but typical St Louis, by Saturday the temperature had dropped 40 degrees - not too bad if you're sitting inside next to a furnace, but pretty darn cold if you're outside sketching for 2 hours.
But the mood was very festive at the nearby Farmers' Market with their Halloween pumpkin patch and fall decorations. I decided to sketch this wagon wheel and corn stalk, but my hands got too cold to add paint on-site. Plus, the smell of the kettle corn was driving me crazy, so I went across the street to the bakery and had a slice of cinnamon pumpkin bread.
