It seems to me that using the groundhog's shadow as a predictor of spring is backwards. Obviously, if it's a cold, dreary, snowy day, no one is seeing any kind of shadow, but that's what happened to the groundhog this morning. So get out your suntan lotion, because the groundhog is predicting an early spring. I think most people in the Midwest would settle for double-digit temperatures.
