I met a fellow urban sketcher at the zoo totally forgetting that it was spring break. Needless to say, the zoo was packed with hyperactive kids who were deliriously happy not to be in school. Even the animals were pretty lively with the warmer, but not yet hot weather, which makes it pretty hard to draw. That's why I have lots of snippets of animal body parts and very few whole animals.
But I managed to find one lazy leopard who was taking a nap right up next to the fence. I just had to pause every once in a while and wait for the people who laid down on the ground and stuck their head against the fence trying to take a selfie with the leopard.
