Beach House

I have been trying to consolidate some of the craft supplies in my art room. But rather than just throw stuff away, I decided to make a beach house for my friend's granddaughter. It's always amazing how you can transform household trash with just your imagination, a little paint, and a glue stick. The main structure of the house is made from a tri-fold cardboard display board (the kind kids use for science fair projects). The roof is a hula skirt I bought at Dollar Tree. The big green blob in front is a bean bag chair and the pink plaid fabric on the right is a hammock (there's a hook on the left wall to hang the other end of the hammock). I made a tiny macrame plant hanger out of twine (back right). I haven't done macrame since the 70's.
On the left side of the house is a patio area with a beach chair, cooler, and fire pit. The right side is used for an outdoor shower. I had a lot of fun making this, but I didn't even make a dent in the junk on my room. I may have to just start pitching stuff after all.
